Babych Please – December 2nd, 2016

Dec 2, 2016, 11:00 ESTUpdated:

Happy December, Canucks fans! They strung together two straight wins this week before meeting the Anaheim Ducks, but you know what’s more important than wins and losses? Friends. As in Friends (1994-2004) the TV show, if you’re Bo Horvat or Troy Stecher.
- Yes, the two youngest fan favourites admitted their fondness for Friends in a recent Fort Nucks blog post. Stecher loves the show so much that he is naming his new puppy Phoebe. So they were put to the test in this Friends trivia game – which appears to have no clear winner. They nail the “Smelly Cat” cover and Horvat answers the age-old “were Ross and Rachel on a break?” correctly.
- Erik Gudbranson was mic’d up during the Canucks wild game against Minnesota on Tuesday. Philip Larsen has been away from the team for so long that he appears to only know Gudbranson by his facial hair. Gudbranson seems like a very fun man – he has a candid discussion with an official about his summers in Maine and interacts with children like a fun uncle does. I especially like the bit where he gives some advice to Troy Stecher. Precious.
- Canucks prospect Cole Candella loves Chris Pronger, Kit-Kat bars, and his grandma. Everything you need to know about Cole can be found in the latest CanucksTV Prospect Profile:
- The NHLPA asked Ben Hutton to list the 5 people he would most like to face off against in a lip-sync battle. Ben’s choices range from teammates to celebrity crushes. It’s hard to imagine Hutton losing any of these match-ups.

- Erik Gudbranson, Ben Hutton, and Sven Baertschi designed custom New Era hats that will be available at the team store, with proceeds from each going to a different BC charity. Hutton and Baertschi make fun of Gudbranson’s simple (but sharp) design. Hutton’s hat includes a pretty snazzy embroidered autograph from the man himself under the rim. Baertschi’s is clearly the best, though. The pale blue is killer.
- Have you ever wanted to hear Brendan Gaunce leave his mother a voicemail? Today is your lucky day. Gaunce and CanucksTV’s Hannah carpooled to work and we all got to know Brendan a little better. He’s currently working towards his degree and he says that he gets recognized a lot more when he hangs out with Bo Horvat.
- And finally, a Sedin facepalm gif that may come in handy.
