The Canucks season could come to an end tonight and Canucks fans would then have to choose between Ryan Kesler and Hockey Night’s sons, Michael Ferland and 18 year old Sam Bennett. This team probably owes its fans at least a few extra days to make such a decision.
  • Some may say this comes a little late, but it appears that Sven Baertschi will slot into the Canucks line-up tonight! Is svengeance finally going to happen? Probably not, but at least there’s a chance. Regardless, we’ll always have this tweet:
  • Not to get all soft, but almost every time I get a mad about everything hockey-related, the Sedins do something to remind me that I’m mad at everything hockey-related except them. Look at how nice Daniel is.
  • 18 year old Sam Bennett has been a big story so far, but why haven’t we heard anything about 16 year old Radim Vrbata? No wonder he hasn’t done much, look at that birthdate!
  • If you ever wanted to know what Game of Thrones character is most like your favourite Canuck, it’s your lucky day. I hope that every now and then, Henrik says “You know nothing, BoHo”. Read it all here.
  • In a beautiful metaphor for being a Canucks fan, here is Yannick Weber encouraging his teammate to shoot and subsequently getting drilled by the puck.

  • The Utica Comets (who, by the way, should be called the Utica Nucks) won the Western Conference and the fans’ reaction is pretty awesome. If only Luca Sbisa had been there to experience it.
  • I try to stay very optimistic about the Canucks but just in case they do lose this week and you find yourself repulsed by the Calgary Flames, I have good news. Rickard Rakell, an Anaheim Duck, has a really cute dog. Instead of thinking “Oh my god, I have to cheer for Kesler!”, think “Oh good, I get to cheer for this dog!”
