Happy National Call In Sick Day sports fans, hope you enjoyed the festivities yesterday. Unless you’re still drunkenly celebrating or drunkenly drowning your sorrows, it’s time to get back to hockey!
This week has some intrigue: it’s the annual Beanpot college tournament, and all Vancouver eyes should be on Adam Gaudette, the NCAA’s January Player of the Month. Check out the schedule first and then head to the notes, for times, channels, and further information.

Notes:

  • Okay, first things first. The Beanpot tournament gets underway very soon. Or depending on when you’re reading this now, maybe it’s already on. Maybe it’s finished. Maybe it was six years ago, I don’t know. In any case, it’ll be broadcast on TSN 2 at 2:00 p.m. local time today. The winner of today’s will play in the Beanpot final next Monday.
  • Michigan is on TV again this week. As usual, you won’t be able to see Canucks prospect Will Lockwood, but you could take a peek at draft eligible defenceman Quinn Hughes. Game time is 4:30 p.m. local time on Friday, you can find it on TSN GO.
  • The Champions Hockey League final is here at last, and Elias Pettersson and the Vaxjo Lakers are a part of it. They’ll be taking on JYP of the Finnish Liiga. You’ll be able to see that at 9:30 a.m. local time on TSN 2.
