Comets Ink Alex Kyle To PTO

The Utica Comets announced today that they have signed forward Alex Kile to a PTO, (professional tryout) deal.
In yesterday’s game, both of Vincent Arseneau and Cam Darcy left with injuries and did not return. This may indicate that one or more of the two won’t be able to suit up for their game against Binghamton today at 4:00 pm Pacific.
Kile is a six-foot, 194-pound, left-shot forward who is listed as a LW over at Elite Prospects. The 24-year-old native of Troy, Michigan played in 11 games with the Rochester Americans in the 2016/17 season, and another game with them last season, putting up two goals and one assist. He also played 46 games last season for the Cincinnati Cyclones in the ECHL, putting up 15 goals and 13 helpers and 27 minutes in the box.
This season, Kile has played in 10 games with Maine in the ECHL, picking up seven goals and two helpers along the way.
The Comets have Brendan Bradley, who I believe may be injured, and Kyle Thomas on AHL deals playing in Kalamazoo still who could have been called up, but there may have been some travel/game issues to work out, or maybe Kile is just a guy that they’d like to take a look at.
