What To Watch For
> Demon chasing: Much will be made about the Canucks utter lack of success against the Hawks, but none moreso than our 10 million dolla’ man. In Luongo’s first two seasons with Vancouver, he posted a 6-1 regular season record against the Hawks surrendering 11 goals against. Of course that was a different Chicago team. Since then he’s gone 4-5 in the regular season with 21 goals against.
> Keep it respectable: The toughest part about the 7-1 loss a few weeks ago was the whole team collapsed. Nothing worked, certainly not at even strength and defintely not on special teams which is where Vancouver is supposed to shine. The forwards were out of sync, the defense was abysmal and Luongo and Schneider took turns being Dan Cloutier. The Canucks have to keep their losses respectable, especially against the elites. It’s disheatening – and says a lot about Vigneault – if the entire team implodes so quickly & easily.
> A memo to Christian Ehrhoff: If you let Troy Brouwer turn you into a ECHL’er again, you’re off the team.
