Sekeres and Price, Rink Wide Vancouver to join The Nation Network

On Thursday, November 2nd, The Nation Network CEO Jay Downton announced an exciting addition to the brand in the Vancouver market. Sekeres and Price, the longtime Vancouver radio duo featuring Matt Sekeres and Blake Price, are joining The Nation Network, a division of Playmaker Capital! Along with Sekeres and Price, producer Grady Sas and Rink Wide Vancouver host Jeff Paterson are also joining The Nation Network!
“We are super excited to have both Sekeres & Price and Rinkwide Vancouver join the CanucksArmy.com and Nation Network family,” said Jay Downton. “Under the leadership of Matt Sekeres and Blake Price, their content aligns with our mission of bringing hockey fans the best and most entertaining hockey coverage. This partnership compliments the great work that David Quadrelli and his team are doing at CanucksArmy.com. Together, we can now proudly boast that we are a leader in the Vancouver market.”
Following their successful run on TSN 1040 Vancouver that ended when Bell Media shut the station down in early 2021, Sekeres and Price went solo as a podcast, backed by Rob and Nathalie Rees of Go Goat Sports.
“Go Goat Sports has always been about the continued growth of a platform that supports local and community based sports coverage,” said Nathalie Rees, President, Go Goat Sports. “When the opportunity arose for The Sekeres and Price Show and Rink Wide Vancouver to partner with The Nation Network, it was a natural next step in that process. We are excited to continue to work with both shows, as well as with The Nation Network team and are thrilled to participate in this partnership as it continues to grow local and independent sports coverage in British Columbia.”
“We’ve seen big changes over the past week or so here at CanucksArmy, with Harman Dayal joining me as my cohost on Canucks Conversation starting next week being the start of it all,” said David Quadrelli, The Nation Network’s Editor in Chief. “Bringing both Sekeres and Price and Rink Wide Vancouver into our network of podcasts and shows is going to allow us all to collaborate further and bring Canucks fans the best local up-to-the-minute coverage possible. Matt and Blake have seen it and done it all, and are two tremendous additions to our company.
“For CanucksArmy, I’m also ecstatic to announce that Jeff Paterson is going to be increasing his duties with the site and will serve as a reporter for CanucksArmy. Jeff does great work in this city and has for a very long time, as Canucks fans know.”
More content plans will be released in the near future, but the most immediate one for regular readers of this site and viewers of Canucks Conversation is that Harman and Quads will be recording Canucks Conversation live in studio at the Sheraton Wall Centre, where Sekeres and Price do their show five days a week. Grady Sas will also be taking over as producer of the show, effective immediately. Subscribe to Sekeres and Price by clicking here, and subscribe to the CanucksArmy YouTube channel by clicking here!
