Report: Bruins, Flames, and Wild are all interested in Canucks forward J.T. Miller

It should come as little surprise that more and more teams are emerging as being interested in acquiring the services of Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller.

Miller is highly regarded around the league and has been excellent for the up and down (or should we say down and up?) Canucks this season.

Not to mention he’s on one of the league’s best contracts through the end of next season at a very team-friendly cap hit of just $5.25 million per season.

Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli made an appearance on Sportsnet 650 Monday afternoon in which he revealed that, on top of the New York Rangers — who are extremely interested in a reunion with Miller — the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, and Minnesota Wild are all interested in acquiring Miller from the Canucks.

President of hockey operations Jim Rutherford has made it incredibly clear that virtually nothing is off the table, and even specified that any trade the Canucks make will be for either young players that can help in the future or for draft picks. It’s clear that the organization has shifted their focus from just squeaking into the playoffs to constructing a team that can contend for the Stanley Cup year in and year out.

On top of what we’ve already heard publicly from Rutherford, Satiar Shah of Sportsnet 650 also recently reported that the only three players the Canucks view as untouchable are Quinn Hughes, Elias Pettersson, and Thatcher Demko.

The Canucks certainly aren’t closed off to the idea of trading Miller, and would likely get a hefty return if they allow the four interested teams to get into a bidding war ahead of the trade deadline.
