We’ve got TSN’s Jon Abbott back in the saddle after a week off, and as always, CanucksArmy’s J.D. Burke is there as a co-host. This week they’re talking about the Canucks road trip through the American south, and it’s been a mostly ugly handful of games. Has this team quit? Where’s the leadership? They dive into all these topics.
To help preview the Sunday match against the Dallas Stars, they bring Taylor Baird from Defending Big D to talk about what the Canucks have in store and some of the big picture storylines surrounding that team. Taking it a step further, they have Cats on the Prowl’s Brett Markowitz on the air to talk about the Florida Panthers ahead of the Canucks match against them this Wednesday. The Panthers are always interesting if nothing else and Markowitz has excellent insight into what’s going on in Southern Florida.
In the second hour of the show, Abbott and Burke talk about what’s next for this team. The trade deadline lingers, and they get into the recent speculation that the Canucks are willing to re-sign Thomas Vanek and Erik Gudbranson. Then in the fifth segment, CanucksArmy’s Cory Hergott joins the show to provide great analysis and insight into the Canucks farm team, the Utica Comets. Hergott has a lot to offer on what’s up with the Comets, and specifically, the story of the week, Darren Archibald.
