DobberHockey’s Jeff Angus (who joined us yesterday to talk Canucks) has a terrific post up at the Hockeywriters about the Strange Case of Keith Ballard. My theory – it isn’t a strange case at all, but a curious one – because Keith Ballard is aging in reverse. The ramifications of this – last year for Ballard was the equivalent of a normal players rookie season. Explains all the simple mistakes he made last season, doesn’t it?
Jeff Ho has started up a new blog called "Ten Million for Sundin" and is off to a promising start with an intriguing spot of research on the relationship between the twins point production. Welcome to the Smylosphere Mr. Ho, we’re excited to see what you’ve got!
Passittobulis profiles every goal Mason Raymond scored last season. They also examined Owen Nolan’s twitter account. I assume the Nolan post is the tip of the iceberg in PiTB’s clandestine effort to chase the aging power-forward off of twitter – as they have a nefarious habit of doing on occasion.
Shortly after inking a strange two year, two-way deal with the Ottawa Senators – Lee Sweatt has announced his retirement. It’s just another strange chapter in what has been a mad-house twelve months for the diminutive offensive defenseman. Best of luck to Lee Sweatt in the next chapter of life.
