Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video, birthed a clever .gif into existence, or have a hockey related cause you’d like to see promoted in this space – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
The picture above is from Sunday’s afternoon tilt between the Vancouver Whitecaps and Colorado Rapids. As you may have noticed, Alexander Edler, Cory Schneider, and Chris Higgins decided to check it out, with their gals. They sure seem worried about the lockout, don’t they? My one takeaway from this photo – my goodness, Eddy is suave.
Cam Charron decided to show his face around these parts for the first time in a while, throwing potential trades involving Roberto Luongo out there for the world to chew on. Personally, I’m still a believer that when it’s all said and done, Bobby Lou will be trading in his blue and green for a trip to the centre of the universe.
Yesterday, we brought your attention to Wyatt Arndt’s quest of simulating through the Canucks’ preseason games in NHL ’13. Today, set his sights on the second game, as the Canucks attempt to get avenge a disheartening (?) overtime loss to the Flames. This is what things have come to..
Harrison Mooney is all about writing songs, and hurting people’s feelings these days. Fortunately, today he settled for just writing songs (as far as we know). I present to you, Lockout Man’ – Puck Daddy’s ode to the NHL work stoppage.
Dan Cloutier Making My Heart Shatter Break! Back in 2002, I was an 11-year old with big dreams. Those dreams were so big, that I legitimately believed that the 8th seeded Vancouver Canucks could pull off the upset, by disposing of the big, bad Detroit Red Wings. Those dreams seemed like they could become a reality, until one fateful moment changed everything. Psychiatrists say that I still haven’t truly gotten over it.

Why do I bring this up? I was due for a good cry. But also, because the Canucks added Mr.Cloutier to their development staff as a ‘Goaltending Assistant’. This provided the Twittersphere with plenty of material this afternoon, believe me.
David Booth clearly isn’t a believer in ‘learning from your mistakes’. Today he tweeted out a picture with an elk that he presumably just caught. I don’t take any issue with hunting, personally, but I understand why some people do. Let’s just say that tweeting this out after all of the heat he received earlier for his bear baiting photo wasn’t exactly the smartest of moves. Then again, he’s never been mistaken for being the brightest of the bunch.
Finally, Jay Baruchel revealed plans for ‘Goon 2’, which I’m personally ecstatic about. I watched the first movie twice in theatres, and once at home, and laughed hysterically every time.
