Oh, God. It’s like a car accident. I can’t not look at it.

Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Gord McIntyre at The Province illustrates to us how Cody Hodgson is proving many of his doubters wrong. And he begins by reminding us that the Canucks could have taken (like many Canucks WANTED) Kyle Beach in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft instead of Hodgson. In Gordo’s own words… "What a disaster that would have been."
Also at The Province, Jim Jamieson reports on another Canucks young’un and other news from the Wolves. His story on Eddie Lack details how the Swedish goalie is eager to regain his stellar form from last year. He also highlights Byron Bitz, Victor Oreskovich and Ryan Parent – for better or worse.
Mark Spector sounds off with some serious shap for the Canucks. WHAT. THE. HELL?!?!? Don’t worry, kids. They sky isn’t falling and pigs aren’t flying. Spec points out, after a visit to the Canucks locker room, he has found that the Canucks are brimming with confidence and being quiet about, much to his approval.

"CALL FOR DONATION" BREAK!

BURNS LAKE NEEDS YOUR HELP. http://www.rotaryburnslake.org/
Thomas Drance has donated $50 to help. And we’re urging to donate too, whatever you can.
From our very own Cam Charron:
I want to bring up a very serious issue that’s close to me. Living in Kamloops, BC, I’ve met a lot of awesome people from Northern BC. One of my best friends is a terrific hockey player from Burns Lake, where the local sawmill caught fire Friday night and exploded, taking the lives of two and leaving 19 injured.
Worse, however, is that the mill was the largest employer in Burns Lake, keeping that town afloat. It’s still unsure whether the sawmill will be rebuilt, which would turn Burns Lake into a ghost town. In short, this is devastating for a small town, and my friend texted me worrying that she may not have a hometown anymore. A tragedy fund has been set up.
Donations can be made through any CIBC branch in BC, and, for those of you out-of-province, you can donate online to the victims and the town via a tragedy fund set up by the Rotary Club. There are a lot of great people as part of Canucks Nation up North, and I’d love for us to be able to rally around this and step up and raise a few bucks for a town that needs it.
As Jim Matheson from the Edmonton Journal points out, the Canucks aren’t biting when it comes to discussing Tim Thomas and the Bruins.
From Joe Pelletier at the Terrace Standard. While Joe sanely points out that the Canucks should acquire a top 4 right-handed defenceman before the trade deadline, he has one other WILD thought – bring back Mikael Samuelsson.
Finally, The Stanchion, he delivers another "The Rock Reviews". I was way late to the party in appreciating this on-going feature. But damnit, it’s ALWAYS funny. So, I’ll always read it. From now on.
