How scary would Giant Kevin BieksaZilla be in real life? Answer: very scary
Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Mike Gillis had an extremely interesting chat with Blake Price and Matt Sekeras today. Gillis repudiated Capgeek’s estimate of roughly 1 million in deadline cap-space for the team, he virtually guaranteed that Reinprecht will be with the team come playoff time, and expressed some qualified trepidation about having 24/7’s camera-crews embedded with the team.
Daniel Wagner thinks we should give Roberto Luongo more credit for his game-saving, vertical kick-save against the Predators on Tuesday night. He’s absolutely right by the way.
Henrik Sedin has been upgraded to "probable" from "doubtful" for tonight’s game against the Wild. If he plays he will preserve his Iron Man Streak. Here’s more from Sean Gentille over at the Sporting News.
Video Break: Bowman, Arndt and a number of actors kill it with "Shit Canucks Fans Say"
The Tim Thomas saga won’t go away, and the goaltender’s continued refusal to address the issue (as well as his unintentional invocation of his own Miranda Rights) aren’t helping things.
This is a really good take on Luongo’s mileage by Ed Wiles. He suggests that the Canucks may look to keep Cory Schneider instead of Luongo – not because Luongo is a "choker" – but because he’s older in goalie years than he is in human years. Really interesting stuff.
Finally, if the Canucks do end up trading Luongo, I’m excited about this Shcneider fellah. I’ve never heard of him before, but I bet he’s awesome:
