Mid-Day Headshots is a CanucksArmy feature where we round up today’s freshest Canucks news including funny gifs, awesome videos, cool photos and interesting links. If you’ve written a Canucks blog-post and want it to be featured here, e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.
The Vancouver Canucks are hiring a marketing project co-ordinator. You might as well apply, as I doubt there will be much competition for the position. I’m basing my doubt on the assumption that no one wants to work for a professional hockey team or anything…*starts editing resume*
Now available for pre-order – The Canucks Preview Magazine from Maple Street Press. I definitely recommend buying it, it’s edited by the talented Mr. Harrison Mooney of passittobulis and will feature works by CanucksArmy writers Remy Greer, Cam Davie, Cam Charron and myself.
Canucks prospect Jonathan Iilahti – who was slated to play for the Vancouver Giants next season – is caught up in a sort of limbo between the Giants and his professional team in Finland reports Steve Ewen. Turns out he may not come play in North America this season after all.
Cam Charron has an interesting take on Canucks shooters (and shooters in generally) at Nucksmisconduct. His goal is too separate luck from skill in evaluating how "dangerous" a shooter is. The numbers are very flattering to Burrows and Kesler especially, which is good to see, but will make you sad if you’re the type who regrets the Michael Grabner trade.
Buddy Oakes over at Predsontheglass.com has a video of All-American hero Ryan Kesler talking about playing the Predators in the playoffs this past season.
