We are now just hours away from the NHL Entry Draft and as Vancouver Canucks fans are looking forward to seeing their team draft in the first round for the first time since 2019. The trade rumours about J.T. Miller are cranking up and Faber was joined by Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff to discuss the latest that he is hearing.
Seravalli mentioned that there is a small handful of four or five teams still in the mix for Miller in trade discussions. We could see the deal go down anytime in the next 48 hours and it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see the deal go down on day one of the NHL draft. Some of the teams to keep an eye on are the New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, Carolina Hurricanes, and Columbus Blue Jackets. We don’t imagine that any of the Canadian teams are in on the Miller trade rumours.
Frank and Faber also dive into a conversation about Tyler Myers and how the Canucks likely need to keep him because of the big hole he would leave on their defence core. The Canucks apparently have an asking price on Myers but what would the right side of their defence core look like without him?
Expect to see a busy 48 hours here at CanucksArmy and we will have you covered with wall-to-wall coverage of all the news stories and draft picks of the Canucks.
