Former Vancouver Canucks forward Alex Burrows has another shot at a Stanley Cup ring

Ten years after he and the Vancouver Canucks took the Boston Bruins to seven games, Alex Burrows will have another shot at winning the Stanley Cup.

Burrows will do so with the Montreal Canadiens, with whom he took a job with this last February. He was promoted from the Laval Rockets when the team fired head coach Claude Julien and associate coach Kirk Muller.

The Habs, who beat the Vegas Golden Knights in game six Thursday night to end the series, have been electric in the playoffs this year posting a 12-5 record. Montreal has outscored their opponents 43-47.

Burrows, meanwhile, was a huge part of the 2011 run. In 25 games in those playoffs, Burrows scored nine goals and 17 points averaging 20:40 TOI per game.
