The only thing uglier than Hunter Shinkaruk’s ability to fight is this wispy teenage mustache.
Good evening, and welcome to your daily dose of Headshots. There was a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, including the fact that I heard a 53 year old man scream "boom shaka-laka, boom-shaka-laka" at the top of his old as hell lungs today. Anyways, there’s some more after the jump, so lets get at it!
The Sea-to-Sky Boner report leads things off today. Hunter Shinkkaruk paid a vist to Vancouver, got fed by Dalton Thrower and fun was had by all. Except Hunter. Fighting isn’t as easy as it looks on TV and getting punched in the face hurts. A lot. [Canucks Army]
The Canucks Army podcast is back. I would have listened to it, but my computer is older than my son (he’s six) and doesn’t work for a lot of things. Youtube? Doesn’t usually load. Fancy that. [Canucks Army]
Dale Weise is excited to be coming back. He’s likely one of three people, and no it’s not his parents. They aren’t happy about it either. But Weise plans on bringing some energy to the team. Again, three people are hoping for that, the rest know its pretty well not true. [The Province]
A little bit of good news if you’re into mediocre players being waived: the Canucks waived Yannick Weber today. Not good enough to crack the top six on a regular basis but not bad enough to have Andrew Alberts play forward for him when the team was in a pinch. [The Province]
Love the Winter Classic? Love HBO’s 24/7? Me too. Now you’ll get to see what it’s like for the Canucks behind the scenes. None of that rated G stuff from Canucks TV, or the Canucks Twitter feed. But real things. Yeah! [The Province]
Rob Williams, who isn’t named Robin, from Rob the Hockey Guy has a little thing on Alex Burrows and the reputation call. [Rob the Hockey Guy]
That’s all for me folks. Hope you enjoyed this edition of Headshots. I’ll be at the game tomorrow night against the Florida Panthers. Let me know if you want to buy me a beer.
Thanks for reading.
