The Utica Comets announced today that defenseman Dylan Blujus has been signed to an AHL deal.
Blujus was signed by the Comets to a PTO deal on December 14th out of the ECHL’s Jacksonville Icemen, where he put up seven points in 21 games.
The 6’3″, 207lbs, right-shot rearguard has played in 14 games with the Comets this season, putting up one goal and seven assists. Blujus has a history with head coach Trent Cull while the two were with the Syracuse Crunch.
Since joining the Comets, Blujus has steadily taken on more responsibility. He plays on both special teams and has been a staple on Ashton Sautner’s right side.
The Comets are back in action today at 4:00 pm Pacific for the second half of their home-and-home series with the Syracuse Crunch. CanucksArmy will have your post-game report following the game.
