Complete Canucks Schedule: January 9th – 15th

The internet’s most informative schedule made by a Canucks Army writer named Jeremy is now its own article. I’ve put this pretty schedule together with some words and a few interesting tidbits and presenting it to you lovely people.
By the way, I’m not entirely satisfied with the title of this piece. It’s supposed to be a weekly thing, so if you have some wittier ideas, leave ’em in the comments.

Notes
- Brock Boeser returned to action last weekend. No prospects outside of Utica are expected to miss games due to injury.
- Saturday is the busiest day of the week, with both affiliates in action, as well as 12 other prospects.
- Tate Olson will play the most games of any player – he’s scheduled to suit up four times, including two back-to-backs.
Games to Watch
- Tuesday, 3:00 pm PST: The Charlottetown Islanders, along with their captain Guillaume Brisebois and recent trade acquisition Carl Neill, will take on top 2017 prospect Nico Hishier and the Halifax Mooseheads. Even with the Canucks moving themselves away from a potential Hischier-picking position, he’s still a treat to watch. His linemate Max Fortier is leading the QMJHL in scoring, and despite being in his draft-plus-one season, he’s still available. In fact, he was on my top ten list of talent leftover at the 2016 draft. Fortier could make a good second or third round pick this June.
- Thursday, 4:00 pm PST: Brett McKenzie’s North Bay Battalion hosts the Mississauga Steelheads, who boast not one, but two potential top 15 picks (not unlike last year with Alex Nylander and Michael McLeod) in speedy forward Owen Tippett and sizable defender Nic Hague. Highly touted 2018 prospect Ryan McLeod is another player to keep an eye on.
- Saturday, 6:00 pm PST – Interprospect Battle: Tate Olson’s Prince George Cougars will take on Jakob Stukel’s Calgary Hitmen on Saturday night. The Cougars are the third best team in the WHL (according to the standings at least), while the Hitmen are the third worst, so we know which way the scales are tipping heading into this game.
