By Cory Hergott
6 years agoThe Utica Comets have announced that they have recalled goaltender Michael Garteig from the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL. With Richard Bachman having been recalled by the parent Canucks this morning, this recall makes sense.
Garteig has played in 18 games this season with the Wings, posting a goals-against average of 3.99 and a save percentage of 0.885. He has a record of eight wins and nine losses with Kalamazoo this season.
Garteig has played in eight games with the Comets, all in the 2016/17 season. During that time he had a record of 0-4-1 with a 3.01 GAA and a 0.897 save percentage.
The Comets are back on the ice tomorrow when they welcome the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for their 54th game of the season. CanucksArmy will have your post-game report following the game.
