Welcome to the yearly wrap up of the top read articles over the last year!
The Vancouver Canucks were ready to make a move at the deadline to better the club. They had grabbed Tyler Toffoli, but there was talk about other moves they could make.
One of which was a player the Canucks could’ve traded away — Troy Stecher.
While he walked in free agency, an article looking at some last-minute trade options came in as the 21st most-read article this year.
Four Last Minute Trade Proposals To Upgrade Troy Stecher Before The Deadline
Rumours were circling on Feb. 22 when the article was published by Stephan Roget. Much like an article of Roget’s I wrote about the other day, he utilized the myPuckPedia GM Mode to look at some options.
Here’s what Roget came up with:
To Vancouver:
Mike Green
To Detroit:
Troy Stecher
2021 4th Round Pick/Josh Teves
Or
To Vancouver:
Tyson Barrie
To Toronto:
Troy Stecher
2021 2nd Round Pick
Jonah Gadjovich
Or
To Vancouver:
Ron Hainsey
To Ottawa:
Troy Stecher
Sven Baertschi
2021 3rd Round Pick
Or
To Vancouver:
Chad Ruhwedel
To Pittsburgh:
2020 5th Round Pick
2021 4th Round Pick
Looking back at what transpired over the remainder of the season, would you have made any of these deals?
