Nation Network Radio, a presentation by CanucksArmy, hit the airwaves again, live from the TSN 1040 studio this Saturday in their regularly scheduled 3-5 PM Pacific time slot.
This week, TSN 1040’s Jon Abbott and CanucksArmy’s own J.D. Burke broke down the Canucks California road trip and the first game of their two-game homestand, a 5-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Our two hosts are joined in the first hour by St. Louis Gametime’s own Robb Tufts to discuss the Blues hot start and all the factors contributing to it as part of a preview for the Canucks match against them on Hockey Night in Canada. The Canucks lost that game in overtime 4-3, with Brayden Schenn scoring the goal that secured the win for the visiting Blues.
In the second hour of the show, our two hosts start off by getting into player grades. Wouldn’t you know it — they disagree on a lot but find common ground throughout for an enlightening segment on the Canucks forwards, and the season they’ve had thus far. In the following segment, CanucksArmy’s Jeremy Davis joins the show to recap the Utica Comets week and get into his controversial article on the false dichotomy of the stats vs. the eye test.
