After a one week absence from the studio, Nation Network Radio, a presentation of CanucksArmy, was back in the studio to talk all things Canucks and the World Junior Hockey Championships.
As usual, CanucksArmy’s Managing Editor, J.D. Burke, was back in the saddle after missing last week with a sinus infection — hence the delay — and alongside him was a CanucksArmy OG, Patrick Johnston. Jon Abbott is still in Buffalo covering the World Juniors, but fret not; he’s back not this Saturday but the one that follows.
Our two hosts start the show by getting into what’s been going on with the Canucks since we last hit the airwaves. Of course, that means covering the Alex Burmistrov retirement and everything that went into it. The Erik Gudbranson conundrum and how the Canucks are going to handle that. Hell, they even take you for a trip down Canucks Memory Lane by checking in on the Canadian Spengler Cup team.
In the second hour of the show, they get into the Canucks match with the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday as well as the World Junior Hockey Championships. There’s a lot of verbiage spent on the selection process for Team Canada and all their ills, as well as the issues they’ve had deploying that roster. CanucksArmy’s Jeremy Davis joins the show to talk about Canucks prospects in the tournament and everything happening with the Utica Comets on the farm.
