Canucks recall Guillaume Brisebois from Utica and Mike DiPietro from OHL

With Alex Edler leaving last nights game after a scary fall and Thatcher Demko being questionable due to a knee issue, the Canucks have had to make a few roster moves ahead of their game against the Washington Capitals today:
Brisebois’ recall is not surprising given that he is left-handed and could easily slot into the lineup on that side. He has appeared in 45 games with the Comets this season and has posted two goals and seven assists.
John Shannon from Sportsnet has reported that Edler did not suffer any facial fractures:
At this time, there is no word if he did suffer a concussion. But as per CapFriendly, the Canucks have placed him on IR, which means that he will be out at least a week
Michael DiPietro is being recalled from the Ottawa 67’s on an emergency basis due to the fact that the Canucks do not have two healthy goalies available. Richard Bachman is out for the remainder of the season and Thatcher Demko is clearly unable to suit up as a backup.
Once Demko is cleared to return to action, the Canucks will have to send DiPietro back to the OHL.
It’s fair to assume that Markstrom will get the start tonight and then the Canucks play every second day for the next week. So, it’s fair to believe that they will ride the incumbent started until Demko is ready to go.
