On Wednesday’s episode of Canucks Conversation, Chris Faber and David Quadrelli broke down all the latest surrounding the Vancouver Canucks.
The big news of the day is the Canucks setting a date for Roberto Luongo’s induction into the Ring of Honour. The discourse surrounding whether Luongo should have instead had his jersey retired has been given new life, so of course, the guys had to talk about that today. Additionally, after reiterating his take from this morning that the best thing for Vasily Podkolzin’s development is to go to the AHL and play with the Abbotsford Canucks. More specifically, to finally get a chance to develop under the watchful eye of the Canucks’ revamped development and coaching staff.
Off of that conversation, Faber and Quads talked about Kevin Bieksa’s comments about the Canucks’ star-studded coaching staff and the impact that might have on the players on the team. They also highlighted a mic’d up video that showed Adam Foote showing Akito Hirose some tools of the trade — exactly what Bieksa was talking about when he spoke about the revamped coaching staff.
