  • The University of Maine (Ben Hutton) won 3-1 and tied 3-3
against the University of Alaska Anchorage.
They play twice this weekend on Friday and Saturday against Massachusetts.
Hutton played in 2 games, scoring 1 goal coming from 12 SOG and earned 2
    PIM.
  • No games for Joe LaBate and the University of Wisconsin this week;
their next scheduled game is for November 7th and 8th.  Wisconsin might
    have played
a game this week against a Division III school, but the game
was played behind closed doors, no crowd, and is not on their official schedule.  Wisconsin apparently tied after trailing for
    most of the game.
  • Penn State (Mike Williamson) played Holy Cross twice this week
winning 3-1 and 7-1.  They play tonight
and Friday vs. Bentley.  Williamson played
in one game earning a -1 and 2 SOG.
  • Yale (Matt Beattie) played the University of Alberta and lost
0-3.  Their next games will be Friday and
Sunday at Princeton and Merrimack.  Beattie played in the one game notching 2 SOG and a -1. Yale was dominated as Alberta had +22 Corsi
    through the first period.
  • Harvard (Patrick McNally) will play their first game on Saturday
    vs. Dartmouth

Nikita TryamkinD1994-08-0420KHL / Avtomobilist200220.10-2291.450.00%1716:18
  • Nikita Tryamkin played in only one game this
week with 16 minutes of ice time.  He
    earned 1 SOG and 2PIM
  • Great week for Gustav Forsling who played in 3
games, scored 1 goal, found a +2 and 4 SOG and continued to increase his ice
    time.
  • Forsling seems to have been offered a three
    year contract
    with his SHL team.
This seems to be the best option for his development as the defence
corps in Utica is going to be full over the next year or two and with the new
CBA drafted players who stay in Europe have up to four years to sign with their
    drafted team.
  • Friend-of-the-blog @Tsetse_Fly, serial tweet favourite-er and Swedish Hockey connoisseur, gave us some insights on Gustav Forsling:
He’s a good skater, mobile with solid puck skills and shot.  More of a two-way defenceman than an
offensive defencemen.  Upside is a 2nd/3rd
pairing defencemen and will likely be on the World Junior team this year.  He plays 4th Dman minutes in the
SHL as an 18 year-old and he is paired with Magnus
    Johansson
    .
