Canucks Army Weekly Player Grades: Defensemen, December 15th, 2014

As promised this morning, here are our Canucks Army weekly player grades for defensemen.

Vancouver lost both outings this past week, dropping their first game 3-1 to Montreal before a 5-1 blowout loss to the Rangers. Despite trailing for most of both games, Vancouver’s defenders all struggled to carry the play this week as only Chris Tanev managed a Corsi above 50%. On the whole, it was an ugly week for Vancouver’s blueliners.

Maybe Luca Sbisa: Defensive Zone Specialist is a good thing, seeing as he should never again be allowed at an offensive blue line after Saturday.

Ryan Stanton is probably the only person in Vancouver who misses the Torts era.
