CANUCKS ARMY GDT# 46 – CANUCKS VS. PREDATORS
By Always90four
7 years agoIt’s been awhile since the Canucks won, but at least the loser points are piling up and keeping them in the playoff hunt. Tonight, the Predators bring their three-game winning streak to Vancouver. Winner steps back into the top eight in the Western Conference.
The Canucks had the Predators where they wanted them last week, but sadly Nashville played spoiler with 1.5 seconds left in OT. Time for some retribution.
LINE COMBOS
Nothing is changing on the PP units. If anything changes, Jeff Paterson will have you covered.
Ryan Miller should start after Jacob Markstrom played Sunday. I hope no one is complaining about these guys; they are the only reason the Canucks have a shot this year.

Daniel Sedin | Henrik Sedin | Loui Eriksson |

Auston Watson is on a heater of a point streak (four games), and Calle Jarnkrok has made every second count against the Canucks (get it?). The Predators might be a bit more exciting than New Jersey.
Pekka Rinne won last time so why not again. He should start.

GAME NOTES, STATS AND OTHER INTERESTING INFO
- C’mon Henrik, get those points. We know it’s going to happen pretty soon and to do it at home would be much more rewarding. Reaching 1000 points is quite a feat and what better place than at home?
- I’ve got an idea for the power play: Horvat, Sutter and Granlund up front. They all have five points in their last seven games, and aside from the Sedins, they are driving the goals. Try something different, load up a unit and see what happens. Could be fun.
- Bo isn’t short with his teammates, just with the opposition. Horvat currently has 3 SHG early in his career with 2 of them coming this season. We’ve seen the speed to break away from defenders and kind of expect him to push that total up by one tonight.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
I think the Canucks are going to make a push for 1st overall. Wouldn’t hurt to try something new and maybe be 11th. No one wants to be on a list.
MY TAKE
The power play clicks twice, and they don’t follow the same game plan. Henrik gets a point, and Horvat creates a new beast mode move that we’ll be GIF’ing for days.
DOES THIS GAME HAVE ‘DULL-FEST’ WRITTEN ALL OVER IT?
It does not. The way last game went to OT and then finished, both teams could be in for another crazy finish. The Penguins and Capitals had a barn-burner last night so maybe the unlikely Canucks/Predators duo carries it on?
