Oh, this one’s going to be good! The Canucks touchdown in Sunrise to take on the Florida Panthers. It’s been awhile since they’ve seen Roberto Luongo and Jaromir Jagr. The Canucks are coming off a surprising victory over the Lightning on Thursday and look to make it two in a row, which is rare in itself.
There is a good chance Jannik Hansen plays tonight and all I can say is “It’s about time.”

LINE COMBOS
Brandon Sutter is on the Sedin line as of this morning but if Hansen does indeed play, how long before they put the obvious linemate back where he belongs? Sutter would probably centre Loui Eriksson and Jayson Megna I’m guessing?
No doubt, Willie Desjardins felt beyond redeemed when Jack Skille and Megna both notched two goals on Thursday, so their ice time will only increase.
Jacob Markstrom will start and Ryan Miller Thatcher Demko will back him up. The Canucks have recalled the heir apparent from Utica. He definitely won’t play tonight but maybe tomorrow, maybe tomorrow?

Jaromir Jagr is on the Panthers first line. He is six points back of 2nd all-time in the NHL. He’s 44-years-old and in sports, he’s a relic. That alone should be enough to fill a whole section. Amazing!
Roberto Luongo will face his former team. He will let in a bad goal in the first, and everything will come full circle.

GAME NOTES, STATS AND OTHER INTERESTING DEMKO… ERR, INFO
- Markstrom faces his old team and could go for two in a row against the Panthers. He lost an oddball one in Florida last year when Miller was injured in the shootout and had to come in relief of him. He’ll get the full 60 this time around.
- If Hansen does indeed play, he’s going to give this team a boost. His last game was the melee in Toronto where he notched two assists. The Sedins need him and so do the other three lines so things can get back to normal. You aren’t going to get Megna to light the lamp with Jack Skille every night.
- Jaromir Jagr is six points away from 2nd all time, and he’ll pot at least two points tonight.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
Most Canucks fans have given him the “you’re filthy awful at hockey treatment.” It seems the feeling is different in Florida.
MY TAKE
I miss Luongo. I miss waxing him in fantasy football. I do not miss his slow starts or his random first-period gaffes
WILL THE CANUCKS RUN THE TABLE AT DEL BOCA VISTA?
The Panthers have been awful this season, and they got a really good coach fired. They were blown out by Pittsburgh on Thursday, and the Canucks are riding a one-game winning streak. Uncle Luo might lose his parking space after this one.
