Canuck prospects Boeser, Lockwood eligible for Hobey Baker

That’s right Canuck fans, it’s time to get your votes ready and submit them in favour of our prospects Brock Boeser and William Lockwood.
Submitting a vote is simple. Head to www.hobeybaker.com/vote where you have the opportunity to submit a fan vote. There are 66 eligible NCAA players to vote for.
According to the website, “when voting for the Hobey Baker Award, please make sure to keep in mind the qualities that a nominee must display: Exhibit strength and character, both on and off the ice; Contribute to the integrity of the team; Display outstanding skills in all phases of the game; Show scholastic achievement and sportsmanship.”
The Canucks drafted Boeser in the first round, 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Boeser had just finished up putting together a dominant season with the Waterloo Black Hawks that saw him score 35 goals and 33 assists in 57 games. 
Since his draft, Boeser has played at the University of North Dakota. In his first season there, he put up 60 points in 42 games. This season, he is wearing an “A” for the school and has put up 23 points in 23 games. 
The 6’1″ 192 lb winger has drawn comparison to Patrick Sharp and is well on his way to developing as someone who could be an effective player. At every level and tournament he has played in, he has put up over 1.12 points per game. 
Boeser is currently ranked 10th in the fan vote, drawing 2.7% of the votes. He came in at came in at No. 1 in the Canucks Army Midterm Prospect Rankings.
Will Lockwood was selected by the Canucks in the third round of the 2016 Entry Draft. He spent last season splitting games between the USHL (6 points in 20 games) and the USDP (33 points in 59 games).  
This season, Lockwood is playing for the University of Michigan and has scored 14 points in 22 games. Lockwood is heading on the right path towards being an option for the Canuks down the road. He has a shot at making the roster for USA World Junior squad later this year.
Lockwood is currently 55th in the fan vote, drawing 0.3 per cent of the votes.
