The Vancouver Canucks come out of the NHL All-Star Break with a perfect 8-0-0 record over their last eight home games. The Canucks will have this home winning streak put to the test on Monday night when they host the St. Louis Blues.
Vancouver is a +105 home underdog on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Blues (-125) are 10-4 straight up in their last 14 games against the Canucks.
Blues at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report
With an 11-3 run over their last 14 games, the Canucks have surged into first place in the Pacific Division. Vancouver’s 58 points puts the team just one point ahead of four division rivals entering Monday’s action with 57 points, but the Canucks do have at least one game in hand on all of them except for the Edmonton Oilers, who have also played 49 games. With Elias Pettersson’s 51 points leading the way, Vancouver ranks third best in the Western Conference and tops in the Pacific in goals scored with 3.24 goals per game.
The Canucks are 5-0-0 in their last five games as a home underdog per the OddsShark NHL Database. Monday night’s game will be Vancouver’s fourth instance as a home underdog in 2019-20 if the line doesn’t shift.
Since opening the season with a modest 3-2-3 record, the Blues have reeled off a 27-9-5 run over their last 41 games. But while St. Louis has earned points in each of its last 10 home games with a 9-0-1 record, the Blues are currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak on the road. The Blues come out of the All-Star Break with four straight road games including a quick back-to-back against Vancouver on Monday night and Calgary on Tuesday night. St. Louis is 2-4 in its last six games on the first night of a back-to-back.
Monday night’s total is set at 5.5 goals at sports betting sites. The UNDER is 15-4-1 in St. Louis’ last 20 road games against the Canucks.
Will Vancouver’s home winning streak and St. Louis’ road losing streak both be extended on Monday night, or will both be snapped? This should be an exciting game between two of the Western Conference’s top teams.
