CHL

• Jett Woo had a 2 assist game on Saturday night. He was pointless in the other 2 games he played in this week.
• That same game, Carson Focht had a big 2 goal game including his 6th power-play tally of the season.

• Ethan Keppen has an assist in three straight games. After a slow start to 2020, Keppen has 5 points in his last 5 games.
• Arturs Silovs had a strong week in goal for the Barrie Colts. He went 1-0-1 and stopped 75 of 81 for a .926 save percentage.

NCAA

• Will Lockwood scored the game-winning goal for Michigan on Saturday.

• Tyler Madden scored on a great individual effort and tallied the primary-assist on an Aidan McDonough goal. He is second in the Nation with 17 goals.

• Aidan McDonough continues to score at a point-per game pace with a goal and a primary assist on the power-play. Keep in mind he isn’t a true freshman but he is scoring like a sophomore which is right where a prospect looking for higher recognition should be.

• Jack Rathbone assisted on 2 Harvard goals on Friday. The Crimson will take on Madden, McDonough, and Northeastern on Monday for the Boston area Beanpot hockey tournament. You may recall Adam Gaudette winning the tournament in 2018.
• Not much happening with Jack Malone at Cornell who is being used as a 4th line/extra forward.

Russia

• Vasili Podkolzin continues to roll on a line with Ivan Morozov and Kirill Marchenko. He notched his 4th point in 4 games on Tuesday in the form of an assist. He was pointless on Thursday but played a season-high 13:29.

• As reported by Harman Dayal of The Athletic, Nikita Tryamkin may be eyeing a return to North America following this season. His ice-time has seen a decline recently and it sounds like an effort issue according to Dayal. Tryamkin will be hard-pressed to be anything more than a bottom-pairing defenceman in the NHL if anything but it’s a relatively zero-risk move if the Canucks look to bring him back.
• Artyom Manukyan has returned to game action and has 3 points in 6 games while averaging just north of 11 minutes a night. He’s recovered from a hand injury and is getting back up to speed. He is one of the most skilled prospects the Canucks have offensively but his 5’5 height will be difficult to overcome.

Sweden

• Nils Hoglander went pointless in 2 games this week while averaging just under 10 and a half minutes a game.
• Arvid Costmar is dominating the SuperElit league right now with 3 goals and an assist in 2 games this week. He has 12 points in 5 games since returning from the Allsvenskan.

• Linus Karlsson seems to have found a home on BIK Karlskoga’s top line. On the rightwing, he has 10 points in his first 6 games with the team.

• A quiet week for Karel Plasek.

Finland

• Petrus Palmu and Toni Utunen were scoreless this week.

• Michael DiPietro stopped all 27 shots he faced on Friday for his first career AHL shutout!

• Nikolay Goldobin tallied 2 goals and an assist in the Comets’ 2 games this week.

• Brogan Rafferty picked up a secondary assist on the power-play.
