It’s another edition of the Canucks Army Weekly Prospect Report, where we cover the latest and greatest in Canucks prospects across the world! Matthew Beattie still hasn’t played a game yet (c’mon, Yale), but there’s still a lot to talk about. Like, the injuries suffered by Tate Olson, Evan McEneny and Anton Rodin. Uhh… at least Thatcher Demko is going to break a billion records?
Anyway, let’s look at the week that was.

  • Another great week for Carl Neill who is leading Vancouver’s CHL prospects in scoring. In a pair of games he picked up a goal and two assists, took nine penalty minutes, was a -1, and had seven shots on goal.
  • Dmitry Zhukenov skated in two games earning a goal, two assists, a +2 rating and eight shots on goal.
  • Tate Olsen is still listed as injured day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
  • Kyle Pettit was seen in three games this week and scored a  goal, was a -1, and put eight pucks on net.
  • Guillaume Brisebois’s production is still trailing behind, but he did grab an assist, two shots, and a +1 in his lone game this week.

  • The University of North Dakota played Wisconsin twice this weekend losing and winning by the same 3-1 score. Brock Boeser went pointless this weekend but managed four shots on net.
  • Northeastern lost both of their games to Boston University this weekend, falling 5-4 and 4-1. Adam Gaudette had a great week, in two games he scored two goals and added an assist, earning three shots on net, took two penalties, and was a +2. He is quickly jumping to the top of his team in scoring, and his counting numbers aren’t too far off of Boesers.
  • Penn State had a game this week, but Mike Williamson did not play.
  • Yale had a pair of games, but Matthew Beattie has yet to start playing.

  • Nikita Tryamkin skated in one game this week scoring a goal and adding an; probably the highest scoring night of his career! He earned a +2, took three shots on goal and played 17:51 on the night.  He has already matched his last year’s scoring in half the games, but still less than his career high of seven in the KHL in the regular season.
  • We still don’t know where Lucas Jasek is playing long term, but it appears he has been sent down to the Senior Tier 2 Czech league where he scored one goal in a single game.

  • With the Canucks goalie shuffle having been executed this week, Clay Witt is down in Kalamazoo and he got blown up in his first game. He was the starter but only played 41:49 before he was pulled due to allowing 6 goals against on 25 shots.
