Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting site Betway!
The Vancouver Canucks started their eastern conference road trip with a bang, beating the Ottawa Senators 6-4. Then on Wednesday night, they dropped game two of the trip to the rebuilding Montreal Canadiens.
Spencer Martin was in goal for the Canucks’ win over the Senators, and he’ll get the start in goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.
Bo Horvat to register over 2.5 shots at -167. A $10 bet would return $16.
Bo Horvat took just one shot on goal in the Canucks’ loss against the Montreal Canadiens, but in the six games prior, Horvat took over four shots per game. With an unproven AHL netminder in net for the Leafs, expect the Canucks to attempt to get a lot of shots on net, with their captain, who still sits second in goals league-wide, leading the charge.
Bo Horvat as anytime goal scorer at +155. A $10 bet would return $25.50.
This one is simple, really. Bo knows goals.
Horvat didn’t record a point in the Canucks’ loss to the Habs, and with the Hockey Night in Canada stage set against the Leafs, we’re expecting Horvat to get back to his scoring ways tonight.
Over 1.5 power play goals in the game at -111. A $10 bet would return $19.90.
Both teams have proficient power plays, and with the backups in goal for each team — and with Toronto starting their third stringer — we’re expecting to see some power play goals tonight.
