Betway Bets of the Day: Bet on the over 6.5 as the Canucks visit the Leafs
By Niqhil3 months ago
Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Canucks started their eastern Canadian road trip with a bang as Brock Boeser scored 15 seconds in against the Ottawa Senators and Ilya Mikheyev followed suit a mere 2 minutes and 45 seconds later to give Vancouver an early 2-0 lead. Although the Canucks didn’t bring their A-game, they did enough to close the game and walk away with two points in the form of a 5-2 win in Kanata.
Next up for Vancouver is a trip to the centre of the hockey universe in Toronto. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Nylander has been absolute money. He is currently on a league-high 13-game point streak and is showing no signs of slowing down. Nylander has also been a monster at generating shots, tallying over 3.5 shots in six of his last seven games. I like the full unit play against a Canucks team that gives up 31 shots a night.
Elias Pettersson to register over 1.5 points at +187. My $10 bet would return $2875.
Elias Pettersson is the league’s leading point getter so far this season, which is incredible as most Canucks fans can admit he’s not even been at his best for much of this season.
Giving us the league’s leading scorer to score two points against a team bottom five in goals against at +187 is an absolute no-brainer. We will deploy .8 units on this play.
Both teams to combine for over 6.5 goals at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.83.
Big shoutout to CWSC Andy on Twitter for this one. The over here looks like the “lock of the day,” two high octane offences under the bright lights of Hockey Night in Canada vying to be the best team in the country.
Toronto has given up at least four goals in all seven of their home games this season, and the over 6.5 has hit in five of those seven games. This is a full unit play.
Last Game Bets
Quinn Hughes to register over 2.5 shots at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.86. – MISSED
Tim Stutzle to register over 2.5 shots at -150. My $10 bet would return $16.66. – HIT
Elias Pettersson to register a power-play point at +105. My $10 bet would return $20.50. – HIT
Hughes not having a single shot is the biggest shock all season, we staked $32.50 and returned $37.15. We are now up $127.23(10.2 units) on the year.
