25 days agoWelcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Tuesday will feature ten games on the NHL slate, three of which include Canadian teams. In eastern Canada, the Montreal Canadiens will host the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Habs are a surprising 4-2 on home ice this season.
Out west, the Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues will battle for early season standings implications as only one point separates them from third in the Central. Closer to home, the Calgary Flames will look to improve their dismal 3-7-1 start to the season as they host the Nashville Predators. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s games.
Player Prop
Mackinnon still leads the NHL in shots and will be battling a New Jersey team without their top two centres in Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes. Colorado will be extra motivated after a 7-0 loss to the Golden Knights. I like this bet a lot and we will risk a full unit on it.
Player Prop
Travis Konecny to score anytime at +140. My $10 bet would return $24.
This line is very promising to me, Konecny is tied for third in the NHL with nine goals this season, and is pretty heavy plus money to score against the lowly San Jose Sharks, who have given up 20 goals in their last two games. We will hammer .8 units on this play.
Player Prop
Steven Stamkos to register over 2.5 shots at -151. My $12.50 bet would return $20.95.
Stamkos has registered 12 shots in his last three games, which is an average of four per game and is playing a Habs team which is bottom five in the NHL in shots against per game.
Last Game Bets
Quinn Hughes to register over 2.5 shots at -180. My $12.50 bet would return $19.44. – HIT
Leon Draisaitl to register over 2.5 shots at -163. My $12.50 bet would return $20.19. – HIT
Bet on the Canucks to win money-line at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09. – HIT
Canucks home underdogs against those Oilers – talk about free money! We staked $35 and returned $58.72. We are now up $136.63 (11 units) on the year.
