Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Fridays in the NHL are usually the calm before the storm, with only a handful of games before a full Saturday slate. This week is no different, with only two games scheduled.
The Flyers and Sabres will play the second leg of a home and home. Buffalo won game one 5-2 despite being out-shot 40-15. Out west, the St. Louis Blues will host the red-hot New Jersey Devils, who have yet to lose on the road this season with a 3-0 record. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s games.

Player Prop

Dougie Hamilton to register over 2.5 shots at -182. My $12.50 bet would return $19.37.
Hamilton has hit his over 2.5 in five of his last six games and averaged five shots per game against the Blues in two matchups last season. We will risk the full unit here as the odds aren’t great.

Player Prop

Jesper Bratt to score a power play point at +135. My $10 bet would return $23.50.
Bratt has been on an absolute tear to start this season. He’s currently third behind only teammate Jack Hughes and Elias Pettersson in points this season, and a lot of that damage has been done with the Devils’ number-one ranked power-play.
Bratt has tallied an astonishing 13 points with the extra man this season in just nine games, which leads the league. We will risk .8 units here

Player Prop

Jeff Skinner to score a power play point at +200. My $8 bet would return $24.
We sometimes shy away from statical trends and just go with our instincts. Jeff Skinner only has one power-play point this season, and Buffalo ranks 30th league-wide on the man-advantage.
But I’m rolling with my gut feeling tonight and think the Sabred power-play starts to get rolling, there’s way to much talent there for them to not figure it out. We will risk .64 units here as the payout odds are solid, and this is a bit of a risky bet.

Last Game Bets

Quinn Hughes to register over 2.5 shots at -167. My $12.50 bet would return $20.  – MISSED
Andrei Kuzmenko to score anytime at +175. My $10 bet would return $27.50. – HIT
Vancouver to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to score a point at -138. My $12.50 bet would return $21.59. – HIT
Hughes had two shots in the first period and never hit the net again. Not going three for three in a 10-1 game is annoying, but we had another day of profit, as we staked $35 and returned $49.09. We are now up $137.43 (11 units) on the year!
