For the first time in 2023 and only the 29th time ever, all four major US sports leagues (NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL) will play games on the same day, or in other words, today is heaven for sports fans.

The NHL will have a busy nine game slate featuring only one Canadian team, as the Montreal Canadiens travel out west to take on the Vegas Golden Knights. Montreal has had a tremendous 5-2-1 start to the season, but will be in tough against the 8-0-1 Knights. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s games.

Jarvis has hit his over 2.5 in six of his last seven games and has tallied 24 shots in that span, which is an average of 3.4 per game. His odds here are way better than I expected them to be. We will risk .8 units on this play.

Bryan Rust to register over 2.5 shots at -154. My $12.50 bet would return $20.75.

Rust has hit his over 2.5 in three of his last four games. Rust tallied seven shots in his last outing on Saturday night against the Sens. Anaheim is bottom ten in the NHL in shots against. We’re going to make this the only full unit play of the day.

Artemi Panarin to score a power-play point at +105. My $10 bet would return $20.50.

Canucks fans saw how potent the Rangers were with the extra man on Saturday night. New York currently ranks second league wide on the power-play and in a matchup against the 27th rank Jets penalty kill, I like this spot a lot.

Panarin has scored a power-play point in six of eight games this season. We will risk .8 units on this play.
