Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day, brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
US Thanksgiving means only one thing, the perfect combination of a turkey and football and the NFL has given fans an even bigger treat this year, introducing its first ever Black Friday game.
Yes, you know me as the hockey guy, but in this edition of Betway Bets of the Day we’re going to be diving into the four game set for the two-day holiday for our neighbours to the south.

Player Prop

David Montgomery to register over 68.5 rushing yards at -115. My $10 bet would return $18.69.
The Lions have made shockwaves around the NFL since week one, when they defeated the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead and have built off that performance entering week 12 with an impressive 8-2 record.
The Lions are massively favoured over the Green Bay Packers and the spread is at a ghastly eight points. I have the Lions winning, which is why I think this is the perfect bet. The Lions should build up an early lead, meaning the game script is perfect for Montgomery to get a ton of touches behind an excellent offensive line. Put .8 units on this play.

Player Prop

Tyler Lockett to register over 4.5 receptions at -141. My $10 bet would return $17.10
Another game where we’re going for the game script. The 49ers are favoured here and should be ahead for the majority of the game, so expect the Seahawks to be in pass heavy mode and rely on Lockett, who has had over 4.5 receptions in his last four games against San Fransisco. This is another play where I like deploying .8 units.

Player Prop

Rahim Mostert to register over 59.5 rushing yards at -110. My $12.50  bet would return $24.08.
This one is my favourite play, as Mostert will get the lions share of the touches in the Dolphins’ backfield as De’Von Achane was banged up against the Raiders last week. Combine that with a good game script and a Jets defence that’s prone to giving up a lot of rushing yards, and you have the only full unit play of the day.
Note this play is for Friday’s game and will be tracked accordingly on Saturday’s edition.

Last Game Bets

Cale Makar to score a power-play point at +105. My $10 bet would return $20.50.  – MISSED
Quinn Hughes to register an assist at -167. My $12.50 bet would return $20. – HIT
The Canucks to score a power-play goal at +105. My $10 bet would return $20.50 – MISSED
The bad luck continues. Makar got the “third” assist on an Avs power-play goal and Vancouver failed to score on a two man advantage and didn’t see a single second of power-play time on an Avalanche major penalty. We were at our highest point and have gone cold, but we will be back!
We risked $32.50 and returned $20, we are now up $44.05 on the year.
