A comeback victory for the Canucks helped them end their three game losing streak as they scored four unanswered goals to defeat the reigning cup champion Colorado Avalanche 4-2.
Vancouver’s January death schedule continues as the team embarks on a five game road trip starting with a matchup with the central division leading Winnipeg Jets. Here are three bets I like for today’s game.
Player Prop
Pettersson has been buzzing in the shot column recently, tallying 10 shots in his last two games which is an average of five per game. I like riding the hot hand here and him hitting his over.
Special Teams
Over 1.5 power play goals to be scored in the game at +125. My $10 bet would return $22.50.
The Canucks and Jets played twice in December so luckily we have some recent head to head data to use. In both matchups the over 1.5 power play goals hit and I like it again today.
Outright Winner
Winnipeg to win money line at -185. My $10 bet would return $15.40.
We try to avoid the ML straight bets on these, but the value is too good here. Winnipeg has outscored the Canucks 9-3 this season head to head, are comfortably ahead of them in the standings and have recently welcomed back Nikolaj Ehlers and Blake Wheeler to the lineup.
Last Game Bets
Mikko Rantanen to register over 3.5 shots at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09. – HIT
Vancouver to score a power play goal +110. My $10 bet would return $21. – HIT
Colorado to score a power play goal at -150. My $10 bet would return $16.66. – HIT
A much needed three for three for us. We staked $30 and returned $56.75. We are now up $0.32 on the year.
