Ah yes, the most consistently inconsistent team in hockey strikes again. Many Canucks fans at 4-0 were ready to give up on the season, but for the first time in 49 years, Vancouver climbed their way out of a four goal deficit to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 7-6 in OT.
Vancouver finished their four game homestead 2-2 and will make a brief stop to San Jose before returning home Saturday. Here are three bets I feel confident about in tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Timo Meier to register over 4.5 shots at +100. My $10 bet would return $20.
Meier leads the entire NHL so far this season in shots, registering 132 in 28 games which is an average of 4.7 per game. I expect Meier to bounce back after a one shot performance Sunday against the Sabres.
Player Prop #2
Bo Horvat to register over 2.5 shots at -163. My $10 would return $16.15.
Horvat has registered 15 shots in his last four games which is an average of 3.75 per game. I’m a bit surprised his line hasn’t moved to 3.5. Take the over here.
MoneyLine
Vancouver to win MoneyLine at -115. My $10 would return $18.69
San Jose has lost six of their past seven, Vancouver has won seven of their last 10. Hard not to go with the Canucks here tonight at close to pick em’ odds.
Last Game Bets
Elias Pettersson to register over 2.5 shots at -182. My $10 bet would return $15.50. – MISSED
Brock Boeser to register over 2.5 shots at +100. My $10 bet would return $20. – MISSED
Montreal to win ML and Elias Pettersson to register a point at +225. My $5 bet would return $16.25. – MISSED
Tough luck for us, Boeser and Pettersson finished with 2 shots each and the parlay would have hit if Montreal doesn’t blow a four goal lead! We staked $25 and returned $0. We are now down $23.95 on the year.
