Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Canucks saw their three game win streak come to an end after a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.
Up next for the Canucks is a brief one-game road trip against the Calgary Flames. Here are some bets I like for the upcoming game.
Anytime Goal Scorer
Horvat has been the talk of the town in Vancouver, with reports suggesting his days in Vancouver may be numbered. Expect a “revenge” game from Horvat tonight.
The NHL’s fourth-leading goal scorer has scored three goals in his last four games.
Tyler Toffoli to register over 2.5 shots -163. My $10 bet would return $16.15.
The former Canuck has registered 24 shots in his last seven games which is an average of 3.4 per game.
Toffoli has brought his A game against the Canucks since his departure, tallying 41 shots in 11 games which is an average of 3.7 per game. I like the over 2.5 tonight.
Elias Pettersson and Jonathan Huberdeau to both register an assist at +225. My $5 bet would return $16.25.
Pettersson has registered five assists in his past four games, and Huberdeau has registered four assists in his past five games. I like sprinkling half a unit on this play.
Last Game Bets
Kirill Kaprizov to register over 3.5 shots at -134. My $10 bet would return $17.50. – MISSED
Vancouver to score a power play goal at -125. My $10 bet would return $18.00 – HIT
Minnesota to score a power play goal at -125. My $10 bet would return $18.00. – MISSED
One for three meant it was not an ideal day for us or the Canucks on Saturday. We staked $30 and returned $18 and are now down $27.86 on the year.
