Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
The Canucks returned to the victory column Tuesday night against the Sabres in the final game of their Eastern road trip. Vancouver ended the road trip 2-3. For a team looking to gain major ground in the standings, that’s not nearly good enough.
The team returns home to host the surging LA Kings tonight. Here are three bets I like for the game.
Lock of the Day
Bo Horvat to register over 2.5 shots at -175. My $10 bet would return $15.71.
Horvat was all over the ice Tuesday against the Sabres, he ended the night with 3 points and a season-high 8 shots on net. Horvat has hit his over 2.5 shots in 8 of his last 9 games.
I’ve said it before. This is the staple bet on this series for now, might as well keep hammering it while it’s hot.
Player Prop
Trevor Moore to register over 2.5 shots at -150. My $10 bet would return $16.66.
Moore scored his first career hat trick Wednesday night against the Oilers. Moore a Leafs cast away has been excellent in LA, he’s currently 2nd on the team in points and leads the Kings in shots per game.
Risky Business
A Power Play and Empty Net goal to be scored. My $5 bet would return $17.50.
This might be the most odd bet we’ve taken on here but hear me out. The Canucks play high event special teams hockey, they rank 5th in the league on the PP and 32nd in the league on the PK.
I also expect tonight’s game to be tight, which will likely warrant a goalie pull as a team tries to make a late push. I like the idea of throwing half a unit on this.
Last Game Bets
The game to finish with over 6.5 goals at -140.  My $10 bet would return $17.14.  – HIT
The Vancouver Canucks to score a power play goal at -143. My $10 bet would return $17.00. HIT
Rasmus Dahlin to register over 2.5 shots at -167. My $10 bet would return $16.00. HIT
A cool 3/3 for us on Tuesday night, we staked $30 and returned $50.14. We are now down $15.14 on the year.
