The final week of the regular season, and the Vancouver Canucks can clinch the Pacific division with just one point. Unfortunately, they’ll have to wait until tomorrow against the Calgary Flames.
However, for tonight, if the Pittsburgh Penguins lose to the Nashville Predators, they would be eliminated from playoff contention. Let’s see what bets we have for this game.
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchups for our highlighted game:
The Nashville Predator’s Juuse Saros (35-23-5) vs. The Pittsburgh Penguins’ Alex Nedeljkovic (17-6-7).

Pittsburgh Penguins Moneyline (-120)

A $10.00 bet would return $18.33.
While the Predators can clinch the first seed in the Wild Card with a win tonight, they’ve already clinched their ticket to the playoffs. For this reason, tonight’s game means just a little bit more to the Penguins than the Predators.
Coming into tonight’s game, the Penguins are the hotter team over their last 10 games with a 7-1-2 record, compared to the Predators 5-4-1. Nashville won their only meeting this season, but the Penguins have won three of their last four matches.
Alex Nedeljkovic has come up clutch for this Penguins team down the stretch. Although he was pulled in their most recent game against the Boston Bruins, he has a 7-0-2 record, with a combined 2.64 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.
Juuse Saros, on the other hand, has struggled despite his 4-2-1 record. He has a combined 4.07 goals against average and a .880 save percentage.
We’re going to be backing the Penguins and their better goaltending as of late.

Sidney Crosby Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-150)

A $10.00 bet would return $22.00.
Crosby has only cleared this line in one of his last four games, but that’s not for a lack of shooting. While he has only nine shots on goal over that span, he has a whomping 25 shot attempts. Crosby averages 3.4 shots on 6.5 shot attempts at home this season.
Against the Predators, he has cleared in three of his last four games, averaging 5.3 shots on 9.0 shot attempts. Nashville allows the second most shots on goal to centres, averaging 13.2 per game.
Heck, why not throw another $5.00 bet on a Crosby anytime goal at (+140) odds? He’s carried his team this far; expect a big night from the (hopefully) future Canuck.

Last Game Recap:

Colorado Avalanche Moneyline – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Cale Makar Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$15.00)
What an epic collapse from the Colorado Avalanche. They blew a three-goal lead in the third period and lost in overtime. This stretch of four losses in five games, mixed with questionable goaltending, is not an encouraging sign for Avalanche fans. Cale Makar scored in the first period but failed to register another shot on goal on his three-shot attempts.
All-Time Record: 2-8 (-$73.81)
