NHL hockey is finally back after the all-star break, sadly Canucks fans will have to wait another day to see their team in action. Monday’s slate will only feature two games, headlined by a market matchup between MVP front runner Nathan McKinnon taking a visit to MSG to battle the Rangers.

Here are three bets I like for tonight’s games.

I came in here expecting to take Nate Dog at over 4.5 shots, but the books moved his line down to 3.5 making this a no brainer. Mackinnon has hit in four of his last fives games against the Rangers tallying 26 shots in that span, which is an average of 5.2 per game.

John Tavares to register a point at -167. My $12.50 bet would return $20

Tavares always plays with a chip on his shoulder against his former team scoring six points in his last six games against the Islanders, including his 1000th point in Long Island.

Chris Kreider to register over 2.5 shots at -163. My $10 bet would return $20.19

Kreider has hit his over in three of his last four games and has registered 11 shots in his last 3 games against the Avalanche, which is an average of 3.66 per game.

Elias Pettersson to register the hardest shot at +130. My $12.50 bet would return $28.75. – MISSED

Tough night, took a stab on Draisaitl and was way off on Pettersson. We are now up $87.64 on the season.
