The Vancouver Canucks are back in action tonight with a division-defining game against the Edmonton Oilers. The Canucks handled the Oilers earlier in the season, as they won all three games quite-handedly. Can they sweep the season series tonight?
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchups for our highlighted game:
The Vancouver Canucks’ Casey DeSmith (11-9-6) vs. The Edmonton Oilers’ Stuart Skinner (35-14-5).

Vancouver Canucks / Edmonton Oilers Over 5.5 (-140)

A $12.50 bet would return $21.42.
Now, this is a lot more scary without the likes of Connor McDavid, but nonetheless, we’re going to attack these goaltenders.
Casey DeSmith has struggled in his last two starts, allowing six goals in both games. While Stuart Skinner has played better as of late, he’s still allowing 3+ goals against in five of his last eight starts.
These two teams, well, mostly Vancouver, had no problems scoring when they met at the beginning of the season. The Canucks outscored the Oilers 18-6 and would have cashed this over in all three outings. Over each team’s previous 10 games, Vancouver is averaging 2.9 goals, while Edmonton averages 4.1 goals.

Quinn Hughes Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-118)

A $10.00 bet would return $18.50.
Quinn Hughes has returned to his shooting ways, clearing his shots on goal line in seven straight games, averaging 3.7 shots on 8.9 shot attempts. While he is only clearing at a 38% clip on the road this season, he has cleared in six of his last seven road games, averaging 3.6 shots on 8.9 shot attempts.
Against the Oilers, Hughes has cleared in two of three games, averaging 3.0 shots on 6.7 shot attempts. The Oilers are very good at handling shots from the point, as they allow just 6.8 shots on goal to defenceman over their last 10 games.
However, the Oilers have been fairly undisciplined lately, as they average 3.2 powerplay opportunities against each game. Hughes is tied for second on the Canucks in powerplay shot attempts this season.

Brock Boeser Anytime Goal Scorer (+162)

A $7.50 bet would return $19.65.
Brock Boeser is reuniting with Pius Suter and J.T. Miller on the second line for tonight’s game, where he’s had so much success this season.
Boeser is starting to find his groove again, scoring in two of his last three games and becoming a 40-goal scorer for the first time in his career. He tallied six goals in the three games earlier this season against the Oilers — let’s see if he can pot his seventh.

Last Game Recap:

Vegas Golden Knights Win/Draw/Win – WON – (+$8.69)
Matthew Boldy Over 3.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$10.00)
The Vegas Golden Knights pummel the Minnesota Wild 7-2 as they clinch the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. While Matthew Boldy lands one shot shy of our number despite having eight shot attempts.
All-Time Record: 2-3 (-$18.81)
