Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Because it’s NHL All-Star weekend, you may think we would take a break from betting on hockey; well, you thought wrong. The NHL All-Star skills competition is a perfect way to sprinkle some bets to help up your bankroll.
Here are two bets I like for tonight’s skills challenge.

Outrights

Elias Pettersson to register the hardest shot at +130. My $12.50 bet would return $28.75.
Pettersson is the reigning champion at this competition. He registered a 103.2 miles per hour bomb in last year’s competition, even beating the odds-on favourite Victor Hedman. This season, the competition doesn’t seem as challenging, as Hedman was not selected.
Take this at a full unit, I really love this play.

Outrights

Leon Draisaitl to win the passing challenge at +700. My $6.50 bet would return $52.
I’m just taking a stab here. Draisaitl is, to me, the best passer in the league, and getting him at 7/1 odds here seems like incredible value. Sprinkle .5 units here for a massive payout.

Last Game Bets

Alex Debrincat to score a point at -141. My $10 bet would return $17.14. – MISSED
Brady Tkachuk to register over 3.5 shots at -134. My $10 bet would return $17.50. – HIT
Phillip Danault to register over 1.5 shots at -176. My $12.50 bet would return $19.76. – MISSED
I think I was forcing some units here on some bad slates, and that has really hurt us. We staked $32.50 and returned $17.50. We are now up $105.58 on the year, need a better second half here.
