Rejoice Canucks fans! Your team is finally back in action after a nine-day hiatus, and the team will be welcoming a new face in Elias Lindholm to the lineup as he makes his Canucks debut against the team that drafted him.
Vancouver will put its 11-game point streak on the line against the Hurricanes. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

Player Prop

Elias Pettersson to score a point at -188. My $12.50 bet would return $19.20.
Pettersson always comes to play against the stingy Hurricanes, scoring ten points in nine career games against them. The Canucks star is usually at minimum -250 to get a point, so I like this play a lot and will play a full unit here.

Player Prop

Elias Lindhom to score anytime at +250. My $10 bet would return $35.
You knew I was taking this play no matter what, but at these odds, I like it even more. I love betting on narratives and Lindholm scoring in his first game as a Canucks against the team that drafted him is the perfect script.
Lindholm is playing with superstar Elias Pettersson at even strength and will play on the Canucks’ absolutely stacked first unit power-play. Take this play at .8 units.

Main Markets

Canucks to win money-line at +125. My $10 bet would return $22.50.
Pyotr Kochetkov should never be a -150 favourite against the best team in hockey, especially with Andrei Svechnikov also not playing for the Hurricanes. Vancouver already won the first matchup of the season in December, and I like them to do it again this afternoon.
Take this play at .8 units as well.

Last Game Bets

Nathan Mackinnon to register over 3.5 shots at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.80. – HIT
John Tavares to register a point at -167. My $12.50 bet would return $20 – HIT
Chris Kreider to register over 2.5 shots at -163. My $10 bet would return $20.19 – HIT
Finally, it was a perfect night for us again. We staked $37.50 and returned $60.99. We are now up $110.13 on the season.
