Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Another NHL season means the second annual edition of bets with Niq is upon us. For those new to the series, I will be providing you with a few daily bets to help you make hockey season profitable! We also keep track of our progress all year long!
We ended last season up $140 and 14 units with just bets on Canucks games. This season CanucksArmy has given me the reigns on all sports-betting-related content and our goal is to end the season up at least 30 units.
Our unit size last season was $10, with the profitable year and a larger market to bet on, I will be changing it to $12.50.

Player Prop

Connor Bedard to register over 2.5 shots per game at  -182. My $12.50 bet would return $19.37.
The North Vancouver phenom is making his highly anticipated NHL debut Tuesday night; Bedard registered 12 shots in three preseason games, an average of four per game.
Chicago has designed their power play to make Bedard’s shot their number one option, and with a potent Penguins team, score effects could help Bedard out here.
This is my lock of the day.

Player Prop

Erik Karlsson to register a power play point at +120. My $10 bet would return $22.
The reigning Norris trophy winner shocked the hockey world last season, with many talking about his demise Karlsson responded with a career-high 101 points.
With San Jose rebuilding and Pittsburgh trying to make a last dance with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, the Penguins made the biggest trade of the summer, acquiring the future Hall of Famer.
Karlsson scored 27 PP points last season on an anemic San Jose offence, I expect a massive uptick with all the weapons Pittsburgh has to offer. A date with a below-average Chicago Blackhawks penalty kill should give him an early start.

Player Prop

Petr Mrazek to make over 31.5 saves at -118. My $12.50 bet would return $23.71.
Chicago ranked bottom five in the NHL last season in shots against per game, and Pittsburgh ranked top five in the NHL last season in shots for per game. Just playing the numbers game here, I expect a busy night for Mrazek.

Main Market

Vegas Golden Knights vs Seattle Kraken game to end with under 6.5 goals at -125. My $12.50 bet would return $18.
The defending cup champs will start their cup defence against the Seattle Kraken. I expect this to be a tight checking chess match between two of the premier teams in the Pacific Division; I like the under here.
