The revenge gritty game was a resounding success for the Canucks as they won a wire-to-wire game against the Red Wings. Elias Lindholm impressed in his first home game as a Canuck, scoring two goals, including the game-winner.

Next up for Vancouver is a matchup against Canada’s next-best team, the Winnipeg Jets. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

Connor is the definition of a Canuck killer; in his last game against Vancouver, he scored a hat-trick and has scored seven goals in his last eight games against the club. At these odds, I will hammer him anyway.

Filip Hronek to register over 1.5 shots at -163. My $10 bet would return $16.15.

Hronek has been one of the driving forces of the Canucks turnaround this season, adding immense value at both ends of the rink. He has hit over 1.5 in seven of his last nine games. I like these odds to continue and will take this play also at .8 units.

Vancouver to win money-line at -121. My $12.50 bet would return $22.91.

If you remember, roughly a few weeks ago, Vancouver and Winnipeg were going toe to toe for the top spot in the league, now the Canucks are comfortably ahead of the Jets by 11 points (yes, they have games in hand). This indicates that Vancouver is still playing great hockey while Winnipeg has been inconsistent.

I like the hotter team here and will put down a full unit on the Canucks at home, where they’re very hard to beat.
