Another day, another win for the Canucks as they defeated the lowly Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 on the backs of their excellent third line of Dakota Joshua, Conor Garland, and Teddy Blueger. Vancouver concluded their five game road trip with points in four out of five games to remain the top team in the league.
Next up for Vancouver is another date against the Detroit Red Wings, the team that last defeated the squad on Saturday in overtime. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

Player Prop

Elias Pettersson to register over 2.5 shots at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09.
If you’ve been watching the Canucks recently, you can see Pettersson has been shooting less, the Canucks star has failed to register three shots in five straight games, but this is a perfect opportunity to change that, as Pettersson has hit over 2.5 in four of his last five meetings against the Wings.
Take this play at .8 units.

Player Prop

Dylan Larkin to register over 2.5 shots at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.83.
Larkin has also been quiet on the shot meter, not hitting over 2.5 shots in his last two games despite hitting his over in three of his last five. Larkin has tallied 15 shots in his last four games against the Canucks, which is an average of 3.75 per game.
Take this play at a full unit.

Pre-Built Bets

Vancouver to score a power-play goal at -125. My $10 bet would return $18.
This is a simple one: Detroit plays a very passive style on their penalty-kill, and Vancouver’s top-end talent should be able to take advantage of that, a very rare “eye test” bet from us, but I really like it.
Take this one at .8 units also.

Last Game Bets

Elias Lindhom to register over 2.5 at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09.  – MISSED
Brock Boeser to score anytime at +155. My $10 bet would return $25.50. – MISSED
Vancouver to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to register a point at -125. My $12.50 bet would return $22.50. – MISSED
Yeah, things haven’t been great of late. We’re only currently up $69.66 on the season, but remember, we’re still in the green and will bounce back.
